Preparing for your rock chip repair appointments
During the summer months, we ask you to keep your vehicles in a shaded area for at least a couple of hours before the rock chip repair appointment. It is crucial because when your windshield is then baking in the sun all day, it makes the windshield extremely fragile. We try to keep our rates of reasonable and if you're able to keep your vehicle in a shaded area, please do. This helps us get your windshield repaired in a timely manner. This allows us to get your repair done quicker without having to wait to cool it down. This also will help your rock chip repair or windshield repair, not spread and turn into a longer crack while waiting for us to arrive.
Preparing for rock chip repair appointments during the winter months. We ask that our customers keep their vehicles dry and free of moisture. At the very least 4 hours before the appointment. It may take longer if it's colder out. That may include no moisture from rain, snow, morning frost, or dew. We would suggest that you please make an appointment for later in the day to give your windshield proper time and allow the moisture to evaporate.
The reason we ask is we don't want to have to charge a 30.00 trip charge for coming out and not being able to repair it at the appointment time. We strive to keep our rates affordable. If we do have to reschedule for moisture or other reasons below, we do charge a $30 trip charge, but that's only if we cannot do anything at the time the appointment was made for.
There are other reasons we may charge a trip charge, which may include the following.
A no-show show. We arrive and nobody's there, with no response. And a rescheduling is needed. or we may decline your future business.
If your rock chip repair or your cracked windshield repair has moisture in it.
Due to frost, morning dew, car wash, rain or snow. We ask you please do not run your windshield wiper fluid as well.
Another reason, just maybe, is that there's no rock chip repair. Sometimes there may be just a nic or a white spec in the windshield that doesn't cause any structural damage.
A chip repair is repaired already In this case, we do charge a trip charge of $30.
We strive to keep our rates reasonable. We don't want to have to charge someone the trip charge of $30.
We only charge these trip charges to keep our rates down. We want to continue to give you, straightforward pricing, and simplicity for our customers.
Preparing for your cracked windshield repair appointments
For cracked windshield repair up to 16 in in length. We do ask that you keep your windshield dry for at least 8 to 12 hours. Before the appointment. If we do repair and there's moisture in it it will come apart. It may take a week. It may take 3 months or 4 months. Moisture does not allow the resin to bond properly. We do not warranty against this. Only warranty against spreading. Please call us if you have questions about this. Click here for warranty questions. We can typically tell the difference between it spreading and coming apart. 99% of the time when the repair fails and comes apart, it is due to moisture or some type of moisture in your cracked windshield repair.
For reschedules for cracked windshield repair, we do charge a rescheduling fee of $30 for all the same reasons above.
